Style de Haviland: Green Birdies & Used Tampons

Okay, I'm about to talk about something that I don't think I've ever read a blog post on before…

Tampons.

The other day, I received a very aggressive email from my roommate. (I live with two bros at the moment. Like "Bro, I was supah baked the othah day…" That kind of bro.) And let me also preface this story by telling you that I almost always wrap my used tampons in toilet paper, but this timeI had forgotten. So anyways, I guess I had screwed up big time. Apparently, that was rude and unacceptable. And he proceeded his email with a parallel between used condoms and used tampons.

"I don't leave my used condoms in the bathroom trash…"

Uhhhhh, I don't even want to know that you're using condoms let alone throwing them away! And I'm pretty sure that you having sex in voluntary and me getting my period is because of human nature and I kind of have to get it every month. AND I'm not going to walk around the apartment that I'VE been living in for over three years with a bloody tampon in my hand just for your benefit. Am I wrong?

And I can't tell you how many times I've left my room or walked around the apartment with him in his white silk boxers. (Yes, they're some sort of faux-silk material.) And falling down. I can see both his ass crack when he turns around and his junk flopping around.

But do I say anything? No.

And you want to know why?

Because I have a month left there...

Thoughts anyone?

And here's an outfit! Ar ar ar ar ar.

I love your blog!! and great post, LOVE the outfit!

I feel for you but growing up with several brothers, I was taught to dispose of my sanitary stuff in such a way that no one would know when it was my time of the month. I found it annoying but now that I'm married and continue the same cleanliness my husband appreciates the fact that he never knows when it's my time unless I tell him... compared to the disgusting horror stories he tells me about his sister's used pads and tampons, I'm glad my mom taught me prudence, cleanliness and self care.

I still feel for ya but props to your roommate for speaking up. I think him comparing the tampon and condom was more about the respect he has shown towards you by taking care of his own stuff and not needing to let everyone know when he does his business.

but whatever, you're almost out of there!

okay, when i saw the title of this post i knew i had to read further to find out what in the world you were talking about! periods suck, there's no denying that, but why do men have to make such a big deal about all of it? if they don't have to go through it, they should shut up!

also, i love seeing people wearing dinosaur toes jewelry!!!
