Scenes from the Weekend
This weekend was pretty lovely. Although I was still recovering from the Black Plague, I was able to get a good amount of rest, spend time with some of my closest girlfriends, and have dinner with the fam and le boyfriend.
I spent pretty much the entire day Saturday with these two lovely ladies:
Do they not have the most beautiful smiles you've ever seen?!
We decided to have a little photo shoot with my new tripod. I don't think either three of us really felt fully comfortable with it...
(Above: Doing the "em dinosaur arms. It's my signature.)
(Above: I believe that was water in that solo cup.)
We finally got it right with this one.
And then decided to finish with this:
Happy Martin Luther King Day!

Happy Belated Birthday to My Mom!
My mom is *hands down* the most incredible woman I know. She literally is. This woman has has NOT had it easy in her life. I won’t go into the details, but my mother has gone through many a physical battle. She has chronic pain every day.
And look at that beautiful smile!…
This picture depicts Ben and my dad’s relationship. Laughing at and with each other…
My mother is one of the strongest, wisest, most selfless people I know. Although she can drive me absolutely crazy, I really have no idea what I would do without her as my mother and as one of my best friends day in and out.
And she’s just absolutely adorable and a maybe a little senile…
Happy Birthday to my mother! The apple of my eye and the strength beneath myyyyyyy wiinnggggg.
Scenes from the Weekend
OH my Lord, seriously, the craziest four days of my life. This past weekend involved a wedding, rehearsal, leading worship at the Sunday night service, celebrated my mom’s birthday, some thrifting with Rob while Dennis is in San Francisco till Thursday (two more days,) and writing a paper on drug addiction and if the DARE program is actually effective. (In case you were interested, it has been proved after many evaluations that it is indeed not effective. It only has short-term effects on children’s attitudes and knowledge of drug use.) So just in case you were wondering, I was still working on that until the this morning and that’s why I’ve been a bit MIA.
ANYWAYS, the 184 Green street family minus one went to the Cantab Lounge on Friday night. This place is one serious party. It was SO fun. The band included four men all over the age of 60, one being the bar’s owner. They played all Motown jams, and everyone danced their asses off! It was incredible!
The guitar player on the right is the owner. He was badass.
Rob and I also made a stop at the Artisan’s Asylum in Somerville. Don’t ASK me what I saw. All I can tell you is that there were some pretty freakin’ cool stuff there!
So there you have it! Got some fun stuff in store you you all in the coming weeks!
