For my “Tuesday Treats” today, I only have one item- “Happiness is a journey, not a destination.” It is something that really hit me when I saw it on Pinterest, for it is something that I have struggled with since I was a kid. I always think, “When I am in a relationship I will be happier” or “When I have my period I will feel more like an adult” or “When I get my braces I will look cooler” or “When I am finally done with my bachelor’s, I won’t feel as insecure about myself.” Although it is a good thing to have goals and aspirations and to accomplish them with full speed, it is not good to feel less than because one does or does not have something at that moment. I’ve done this for years! God really spoke to me through this simple piece. Life is a journey and there will always be obstacles and struggles. Be in the MOMENT. And yes, this may be super cliché, but live each day like it is your last!

You know what? I needed to read this today. I've been spending all day whining in my head about how much easier/better my life will be when I'm done with grad school and have a job. But you know what? It won't be better. It'll just be different. I need to remember to hold onto the good I can find NOW.
I love that graphic. So pretty.
Couldn't be more true!
