{Guest Post} Amanda from Little Tranquility

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all having a great hump-day! Today I am featuring one of my sponsor’s, Amanda, from Little Tranquility. She’s a lovely girl, and you should all check out her bloggity blog!

Marhaba! My name is Amanda and I'm a Midwesterner living in Washington, DC. I moved here a few months ago from Wisconsin and so far, I'm in love! From the city to the subway to the people to the FOOD, I have yet to be disappointed by our nation's capital. It really is a beautiful city and I love exploring its nooks and crannies every chance I get.

I work as a Vet Tech at an animal clinic and sell vintage goods and recycled jewelry on Etsy. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my amazing boyfriend, Andrew, and my sweet little kitty, Mia. Andrew and I met online around the time I moved to the east coast. You can read our story here! He's the sweetest.

I'm a Jonathan Safran Foer enthusiast and an animal loving vegetarian. I'm obsessed with all things turquoise and cats occupy a large part of my heart. I get very excited about eating Middle Eastern food and Oreos are my weakness. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I do love a good soy chai. I'm interested in almost everything and really enjoy learning.

Linguistics was my major in college and I think every language is beautiful. Andrew speaks Arabic and is always teaching me new words. My personal favorite? Habibi. It means, "my love." Girls say it to guys, or guys say it to each other since it can also mean "friend," depending on the context. Guys call girls habibti which means the same. Andrew and I say this to each other often and it warms my heart! :)

My blog is mostly a travel blog at the moment, even though that wasn't my intention when I started it back in June. So far, I've blogged about my trips to Anguilla, Puerto Rico, Florida, and Qatar as well as some sights and stops here in DC and other odds & ends posts. Hopefully I'll do some more traveling and continue the travel theme, but I also want to start posting about other things that interest me, like music, crafting, DIY's, literature, fashion, photography, food, and all the wonderful things in between. :)

I hope you'll stop by and find something that interests you! <3

Salam alaikum,

Amanda

And check out my guest post over at this lady’s blog today!
