Style de Haviland: Polka Polkas

I've decided that it is going to be very hard to keep up this blog over the next couple weeks. Since all I want to do is either be at work or think about it, blogging has been put in the back of my mind. It's a little frustrating actually. I haven't taken outfit photos in weeks. I haven't started any new projects.

I got nothin'!

Except this...

I splurged at J.Crew last week, and got the polka dotted dress that I had been salivating over. Yes, it was expensive. Yes, it was probably overpriced.

But I bought it. I needed it. I HAD to have it.

And boy, am I glad I got it, because I felt so amazing in that dress! And that, ladies (and maybe gents), is what fashion is supposed to do. It is supposed to make you feel even more incredible than you already are.
So if you're in a fashion rut and you look around at all the beautiful fashion blogs around you (or if you're me and you work at Sperry Top-Siders with some really incredible women) and then you say,

"What the heck?! I look retarded."

Don't. Get yourself a piece that you feel incredible in. Spend a little more than you normally would. It is worth it.

And it will last longer.

And don't forget to enter the giveaway!

I'm on you on spending a little more on stuff the only thing that hinders me from doing so is one, I'm on a budget and two, I am the type who would wear something once a month for 3 months then forget about it. LOL. Hopefully I become a nicer person to my clothes this year :)

you look marvelous - it's okay to splurge once in a while and especially on classic pieces, like this!

I'd say splurging on that was a good idea, it's beautiful and you look fantastic in it!
