This past weekend I went to one of the best weddings I’ve been to thus far. You’ve all heard of me talking about my family at Green Street – Well there’s a bit of a cult following along with a band of brothers that have all lived in this apartment at one time or the other: Steve, Rob, and Mike.
I think the most incredible thing about this wedding was the love surrounding the couple. They have some seriously incredible friends and family who have just surrounded them with support. I really got a good glimpse into Steve and Meghan’s friendships and how special they are to them. It was made so clear by the toasts given by the best man and some of the bridesmaids. I’d never seen anything like it. The best man, Tony, and Steve, the groom, have been best friends since they were little. They’ve been through absolutely everything together, and his toast literally brought me from laughter to tears and back to laughter again.

The night before the wedding five of us took a little trip to the grocery store. Since icing is a major tradition around here, John decided to pick up some Wild Cherry Smirnoff Ices. Yes, these are probably the most horrific alcoholic beverages anyone could choose to drink, so that’s where the foundation of the tradition of “icing” comes from. Allow me to explain further: Icing has to be presented in a way that the receiver will be completely surprised. For example, John placed an Ice underneath the beanbag game they were playing. Once they find the Ice, they have to kneel on one knee and chug the whole thing at once. We ended up getting the groom first on his wedding day, and it was even more epic because he had never been iced before. It was a beautiful thing.

We got some more throughout the day and evening... John was in charge and later regretted that when he got iced several times.
Anyways, have a great weekend guys! And don't forget to enter the giveaway for a pair of Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes!
