This past weekend I went on a wonderful hike with two dear friends of mine. I have known Max Tyler since basically birth. He has been working with my father for 25 years or so. I remember going to his house is Duxbury for summer barbeques, jumping on the trampoline, looking up at him smoking his cigar and drinking a beer. Fast forward several years later, he has become not only a colleague of mine, but an amazing friend and what people refer to as a “quazi-father figure.” Max brought his son, Zack, who is now a father himself and will be married in early August. Swamy came along as well, who is a close friend of mine and Max’s from work. John Lugus was the fifth gentleman who joined us on our snowy hike up the Welch-Dickey trail. He is a trooper, that’s for sure!
When we got to the parking lot at the bottom of the trail, it started snowing… heavily, will you. And it was of course barely 30 degrees outside. But when I tell you that I had an amazing time, I mean it! I am so blessed to have these people in my life. Even if some of them (Swamy) drive me crazy sometimes!
