I'm starting a new weekly series, called "Friday Music Files." I feel like I'm losing touch lately with my inner musician; so I thought that I would share with you all a favorite artist of mine on a weekly basis.

Just kidding! Are there any Neko Case fans out there?! Shout out! She's amazing. Literally, this woman blows my mind. She's originally from The New Pornographers, (a band that you'll probably hear about on a later Friday Music Files date.) She's an insane guitarist/vocalist that I'm a little obsessed with. I've had her two older albums, "Blacklisted" and "Fox Confessor Brings the Flood" on repeat for maybe three months now? She's insane. And the thing I love about her, is that she has an INCREDIBLE alto voice, so I'm all up in that when I'm in my car. Beltable to the maximum factor. As an individual artist, she's folky/jazzy gal. I've done some covers of her stuff, because it's just so beautiful and I'm in about the same range as her. Apparently she has some stuff from "The Hunger Games" soundtrack, but I haven't jumped on that bandwagon, and am still trying to avoid it.
This is one of my favorites. Play it. You won't regret.
